Come As You Are

This year, Brava is honored to participate in the National Commemoration of Stonewall's 40th Anniversary with Come As You Are. In collaboration with Theatre Offensive, project leaders of this national campaign taking place in cities coast to coast - from Anchorage, AK to Burlington, VT, Brava is producing a series of 13 short works celebrating queer culture. The works discuss sex and gay sexuality in an upfront and joyful manner.

Come As You Are are works written by several Boston playwrights includinga: Chris Meffert, Caroline Prugh, Xray Aims, Tobias K. Davis, David J. Miller, Toni Amato, Adam Sussman, A Street Theater Named Desire, André St. Clair, Renita Martin, Leo Cabranes-Grant, Abe Rybeck and Dana Moser. These pieces comment on cyber sex- fantasy, love, and the excentricity of gay sex that should be expressed in our mainstream society. Its going to be HOT! Cities participating in Come As You Are include: Burlington, Boston, New York, Miami, Chicago, Minneapolis, Houston, Cedar Rapids, Orange County, Santa Monica, San Francisco, Anchorage.
