MoPo at Burning Man 2010

I could not be more excited. Not only is the Janky Barge back for a second debaucherous year, but the Landspeeder will be making a triumphant return after 3 months of re-engineering and rebuild. It's now a 4-seater with brand new lights, sound etc. Looks so fresh that it couldn't possibly have been Luke's. More like Wedge's, or if Luke had been raised by a nice family in a suburb of Alderan or somesuch.

I will be camping with both the Furniture Kar Rally (FKR) at 3:30 and G and the Janky Barge 3 & (dont ask....)

I am seriously honored to be playing key sets all over the Playa this year on some of the finest systems, camps and artcars. I have several very special sets and events I'm helping to create, collaborating with some of my favorite people in the world. I invite all of you to come and enjoy something a bit different on the Playa this year...

  • • Preceding my afronautic friend Fort Knox 5's Jon H. Honored to be asked back to play on the mother of all Playa parties, especially before my good friend Jon H. I can guarantee you, noone will play as outlandish a set at Opulent as I do that night. Expect the unexpected (perhaps even a cushy chair)
      
• WEDNESDAY:
• • Afternoon: Apres Ski @ TIME of YOUR LIFE (Aka "Flame Canada")- 3:00 Keyhole.
  • • One the most underrated dance spots on the Playa. Great little dome, just covered with stuffed monkeys. Vinyl Ritchie and DJ Shoe are def. highlights.
      
• THURSDAY
• • 2:30-3:30pm at DISTRIKT
  • • I actually camped with Deep End before it was Deep End, in 1999 as "Sacrilicious". Being asked back for a primetime slot is much appreciated. I plan to sell out completly and play the most banging stuff I have. After all, we have to get it out of the system before..
  • Nighttime: DEEP PLAYA FUNKONNECTION on the Janky Barge & Unimog
    
  • • Something Ive been dreaming about and scheming about for 3 years. A night devoted to funk & funky breaks gathering all of the finest funk selectas on the Play but done somewhere WAY out there and incorporating the Cowboys. FORT KNOX 5, VINYL RITCHIE, ALI B, BITCHIN', MOLDOVER, MALARKEY, SKRITCH... holy crap
  • Sunrise: SWASHBUCKLER SALOON (Deep Playa Hosted by Bojon). MoPo & Big$Bill
  • • Every year it seems I do a sunrise set at my favorite bar on earth. It appears for just 4 hours a day over 3 days every yearm but this little Bojon sunrise bar always produces the funniest moments and best memories.

• • 1-4pm at NeXuS - MoPo's Afternoon Funk Jam & Unintentional Comedy Situation
  • • A shout out to the amazing Sunday jam they do at Shambhala, we'll be hosting all comers on the Funktion 1 at Nexus. 10-20 Djs playign 3 of their fattest records each!
  • 1-3am at JUKE JOINT - GEM CITY (3:00 Keyhole)
  • • Malarkey hosts Juke Joint on the playa for the third straight year. Ill be there with Nick Thayer, U9lift, and Mama Miche,
  • Sunrise 5-9am at NeXuS - MoPo's Rock & Roll Sunrise
  • • I'm doing my annual rock remix set with a ton of new material. Nick Thayer, Moldover and U9lift will be there as well rocking black rock!

• • On the JANKY BARGE - Time TBD
  • • Last year I didn't even plan to play and ended up rocking for 3 hours until I begged for mercy. This year, I'm expecting a better showing from the Janky crew. For chrissakes we only have 13 Djs camping with us right?
